HARVEST
Harvested in small bin crates, then placed over night in cooling chamber to maintain grapes’ freshness.
WINEMAKING
Fermentation started at low temperature in stainless steel tanks, continued with malolactic fermentation and finishing in 500L new Burgundian(France) oak barrels.
AGING
Project X Maratheftiko is aged for 16 months in 500 liters Burgundian barrels.
TASTING NOTES
Color
Deep and intense cherry red colour, with purple hue.
Aroma
Forrest berries, cherries, tobacco, and sweet spice, alongside coffee and toast from the oak.
On the palate
Smooth texture with ripe, round tannins. Concentrated, intense and rich, with fresh acidity and long fruity – spicy finish, with hints of vanilla and Mediterranean herbs.
