Maratheftiko is arguably, the most important Cyprus Indigenous red Varietal.

Intense Deep red colour, elegant aromas full of fruit, rolled up in aromas of red forest fruit; give a complexity of aromas and tastes on the palate.
Good balance of acidity, alcohol, and tannins compose the perfect accompaniment of a variety of meat dishes that perfectly respects the origin of the wine and its culture.

Soil Type: Calcareous, Limestone and Terra Rosa
Age Of Vines: 10 – 16 Years Old
Trellising: Horizontal Cuplike
Vine Density: 3500 – 4500 / ha
IN THE CELLAR
Wood ageing: 8 – 9 months in French Oak Barrels
Total production: 6000 Cases of 6 Bottles
Aged in French Oak Barrels for about 8 months, it will develop even better in the following 2 – 3 years in the bottle.
Perfect with red meat and game, but also with sauces and cheese.
The wine is bottled near its prime. It will improve with age in bottle for at least the next 3-4 years.
Drink it at 160C.
