A ripe and fruity red wine made with an extended maceration from Cyprus Mavro, Mattaro, Grenache, Carignan, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, carefully chosen and blended to give a very satisfying red.
Originally crafted as private label wines, for the Cooperative Retail Stores in the U.K, the Island Vines project created wines of a New World character, focused on the varietal characteristics and the vintage year, giving wines of impeccable quality, with modern, fruit driven, tastes and aromas, that revolutionised the winemaking process in Cyprus.

This is a fragrant, full-bodied wine that instantly conjures up images of lamb cutlets or kebabs or even moussaka enjoyed under a warm Mediterranean night sky glowing with stars.Pasta or other grilled meats prepared with tomatoes and herbs in the classic Mediterranean way served at room temperature are other potential matches.
